Some of our Technologies include...

4D Ultrasound
Bone Density Exams

We offer women a lifetime of care with bone density scans, laser services, and annual exams with pap smears. Plus we treat problems such as incontinence, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, menopause and more. Our physicians are trained in the lastest surgical techniques including laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy.

4D Ultrasound

The delivery of patient care is the number one priority for all of us at Women Physicians Associates OB/GYN. With great pride, we are happy to let you know about an upgrade to our imaging services.

Our state of the art equipment with improved diagnostic images, affords us the ability to view 3D images of your baby with time. We have had very positive reactions from parents seeing their baby for the first time using this technology.

The 4D images (3D with time) will not provide any additional medical information. The best time to perform a 4D is between 28 and 32 weeks, and the sonographer can advise you about the procedure limitations. If you have questions or would like to schedule a 4D sonogram, please contact a front desk clerk.

Your images will be provided on a CD-ROM for you to keep for a lifetime of memories.

BONE DENSITY SCANS

A bone density test will tell you and your doctor whether you have low bone mass or osteoporosis. Compared with many tests women take, a bone density test is simple -- most of the time, you won't even have to undress. And the test is usually over in a matter of minutes.

Who should get tested?

The National Osteoporosis Foundation offers the following recommendations for those who should receive a bone density test:

  • All women aged 65 and older regardless of risk factors.
  • Younger postmenopausal women with 1 or more risk factors.
  • Postmenopausal women with fractures.

URODYNAMIC STUDIES

A Urodynamic study is actually a series of tests designed to thoroughly evaluate bladder and urethral function. In order to understand every detail of your bladder problem, those tests record very precise scientific data on your bladder's ability to store and empty urine.

Why do I need a Urodynamic Study?

We conduct these studies to evaluate leaking urine, difficulty emptying the bladder, frequent urination, recurrent infections, blood in the urine, and loss of bladder support.

Getting the right treatment for your bladder problem starts with having the right tests!
